Doda: A man and his wife were killed and their four children sustained injuries in a road accident on the Doda-Ramban road on Wednesday.

An official said the accident occurred on Sader Bagh Alsi stretch of the Doda-Ramban road, in which a couple died while their four children were injured.

The deceased have been identified as Liaqat Ali, son of Manzoor Ahmad Malik, and his wife Asia Bano, residents of the area, the official said.

The couple’s three sons, Bilal Ahmad, Sarfaraz Ahmad, Anzer Ahmad and daughter Tanzila were injured in the mishap and have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police have registered a case for investigation into the cause of the accident, news agency JKNS reported.
