Srinagar: The Meteorological department today predicted cloudy weather with light rains and snow over a few higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir from April 8 onwards.

It said the ongoing dry weather conditions are likely to prevail over Jammu and Kashmir till April 7.

There will be generally cloudy weather towards afternoon, with the possibility of light rains and snow in higher reaches over north and central Kashmir towards evening and night of April 8, an official said.

He said similarly that on April 9, it will be generally cloudy with light rains and snow (higher reaches) at many places of Kashmir division and scattered places of Jammu division.

He also said that from April 10-11, the weather will likely remain generally cloudy with light rains and snow over higher reaches at scattered places of J&K.

Afterwards, the weather will likely remain dry from April 12-15, the official said.
