Srinagar: One person died, and three others sustained injuries in a road accident at Parnewa-Kulbugh general road in Budgam district on Friday.
An official said that a car collided with a passenger cab. Driver of the car and three passengers in the cab sustained injuries and were shifted to District Hospital Budgam, where doctors declared the car driver brought dead.
He was identified as Zeeshan Ashraf, son of Mohammad Ashraf, a resident of Tokerpora Budgam.
A case has been registered in this regard for investigation, news agency JKNI reported.
Separately, 10 people were injured in two road accidents along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday.
An official said that a Tata Mobile vehicle skidded off the road near Mir Bazar in the morning, injuring five people.
All the injured, residents of Bakerwal Check Manzmoh, were shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for treatment.
In another incident at Levdoora Flyover, five passengers were injured in a head-on collision between two vehicles. The accident occurred due to high speed, officials said.
Police have taken cognizance of both accidents.
