MeT predicts possibility of light snowfall in north Kashmir parts, Sonamarg-Zojila axis

Srinagar: The Meteorological department today forecast light snow over higher reaches of north Kashmir and Sonamarg-Zojila axis on April 3.

The MeT also predicted dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir from April 4 to 7.

An official said the weather will remain generally cloudy towards April 3 afternoon, with possibility of light snow over higher reaches of north Kashmir and Sonamarg-Zojila axis. He, however, said the weather will likely remain dry from April 4 to 7.

As per the official the Jammu & Kashmir parts will likely receive light snow at scattered and isolated places from April 8 to 11.

“On April 8, the weather will likely remain cloudy towards afternoon with the possibility of light snow over the higher reaches of north Kashmir and Sonamarg. Similarly, from April 9 to 10, the weather will generally remain cloudy with light rains and snow over higher reaches at scattered places of Kashmir division and isolated places of Jammu division,” the official said.

“On April 11, the weather will likely remain generally cloudy with light rains and snow over higher reaches at isolated places towards morning and improvement thereafter,” he added.
