Srinagar: Minister for Education Sakeena Itoo Wednesday directed the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) to declare the results of class 10th, 11th, and 12th by the end of the ongoing month.

Itoo directed JKBOSE officials to ensure the results are declared by the end of this month so that the students transition smoothly into their next classes without losing valuable study time.

Itoo passed these directions while chairing a high-level meeting to review the functioning of the JKBOSE, including examination processes, curriculum updates, and IT advancements, an official press release informed.

It said she stressed the need to modernize the board’s infrastructure, streamline administrative procedures, and adopt advanced technological solutions to enhance efficiency and accessibility in the education system.

Itoo also highlighted the significance of equitable and inclusive education, particularly for Children With Special Needs (CWSN).

She directed officials to intensify awareness programs and ensure the effective implementation of special provisions, including exam fee exemptions, a 5 percent relaxation in pass percentages for board exams, and flexible academic policies for students with disabilities.

She further instructed the Directors of School Education in Jammu and Kashmir to collaborate closely with JKBOSE to enhance the education sector across Jammu and Kashmir.

She underlined the importance of continuous stakeholder engagement, proactive policy measures, and student-centric reforms to uplift academic standards.

JKBOSE Secretary presented a comprehensive report on the board’s initiatives during the meeting, particularly the introduction of IT-based interventions to facilitate students.
