Women trainees from various districts of Kashmir participated in the program, which combined hands-on training with expert-led sessions on self-help group (SHG) formation, financial literacy and entrepreneurship.

Speaking at the valedictory session, Controller of Examinations KU, Dr. Majid Zaman Baba emphasized the significance of contemporary skills, including AI and entrepreneurial competencies.

“Bridging the gap between aspiring entrepreneurs and government schemes is crucial for sustainable business growth,” he said.

Dean Students’ Welfare KU, Prof. Parvez Ahmed, highlighted the evolving nature of education, stressing that skill development is no longer confined to technical institutes.

“With the NEP 2020 framework, skill training must be aligned with market demands to create meaningful employment opportunities,” he remarked.

Earlier, Director CCBSD KU, Dr. Aadil Bashir, shared the objectives of the program and discussed the key skills imparted during the training.

The event proceedings were conducted by Mohammad Yousuf, Project Officer, CCBSD KU, while Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Project Officer, CCBSD KU, delivered the vote of thanks on the occasion.
