Lecture on TB and kidney disease organized by RCWA, CRPF Srinagar

Srinagar: A lecture on “Prevention and Control of Tuberculosis (TB) and kidney disease” was organized under the aegis of the RCWA, GC, CRPF Srinagar.

The session featured distinguished speakers, Dr. Shafat Ahmad Keenu, Head of Emergency Medicine, and Dr. Hilal Ahmad Malla, Nephrologist, who provided valuable insights into their respective fields.

The event commenced with Shri Rajesh Kumar, DIG, GC, CRPF Srinagar, extending a warm welcome to the guest speakers by presenting them with bouquets. Dr. Hilal Ahmad Malla delivered an informative lecture on kidney diseases, addressing metabolic illnesses, dietary precautions, and dispelling common myths regarding dialysis.

Dr. Shafat Ahmad Keenu conducted a live Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) demonstration, offering clear and practical techniques to ensure effective emergency response. Around 165 attendees, including family members and force personnel residing within the campus, as well as first-aid course trainees, participated in the session. Some volunteers were invited on stage to practice CPR on a mannequin under expert supervision.

Sangeeta Kumar, President RCWA, GC, Srinagar, honored the guest speakers by presenting them with mementos as a token of appreciation. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Annu Arya, Senior Medical Officer, acknowledging the contributions of the esteemed specialists.
