Fresh snowfall in higher reaches of Kashmir, rains in Srinagar

Srinagar: The Meteorological department today predicted light to moderate rains and snow in central and north Kashmir areas till March 27.

An official said that there is a possibility of light rains and snow over higher reaches at scattered places, mainly over central and north Kashmir areas today.

He said a spell of light to moderate rains and snow over higher reaches at many places mainly over central and north Kashmir areas is expected towards March 26 late afternoon till night and during March 27 late afternoon till night, followed by gradual improvement in weather conditions thereafter.

The official said that from March 28 to April 3, the weather conditions will likely remain dry.

Possibility of thunder with gusty winds at few places during March 26-27 is expected, the official said.
