Srinagar: A motorcyclist was killed and another person injured in a road accident at Khanpeth Pattan.
Quoting officials, news agency JKNS reported that a Tipper truck (JK01L-0305) and a motorcycle (JK15A-2738), collided resulting in the on-spot death of motorcyclist Qamar bin Hashim, son of Hashim, resident of Anderkoot, while his pillion rider, Zeeshan Hussain Malla, son of Zafar Hussain Malla, resident of Shilvat was injured.
The body of the deceased was shifted to SDH Pattan for medico-legal formalities while the tipper driver was arrested and the vehicle seized by Police Post Mirgund, the officials said.
Further investigation has been initiated, he added.
