DIG SKR, SSP Anantnag inaugurate new welfare facilities for Police Personnel in Anantnag

Srinagar: In a significant move to enhance the living and working conditions of Police personnel, DIG South Kashmir Range, Javid Iqbal Matoo, along with SSP Anantnag Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, inaugurated multiple new facilities at various police establishments in the district.

At District Police Lines (DPL) Anantnag, the officers inaugurated an NGO Barrack, a Washroom Block, and a Jawans Barrack, aimed at improving accommodation and sanitation facilities for personnel stationed at DPL. These additions will contribute to better housing infrastructure and overall well-being of the force.

Further, a General Mess was inaugurated at Police Station Achabal, providing improved dining and catering services for officers and jawans. The upgraded mess offers a more comfortable and hygienic space, reinforcing the department’s commitment to personnel welfare.

Speaking on the occasion, DIG SKR Javid Iqbal Matoo emphasized the importance of modern and upgraded facilities for Police personnel, acknowledging their dedication and service. He reiterated the department’s commitment to ensuring better living and working conditions for the force.

SSP Anantnag Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy also addressed the personnel, appreciating their relentless efforts in maintaining law and order. He assured that further initiatives will continue to improve infrastructure and welfare measures for the force.

The event was attended by senior officers, Police personnel, and dignitaries, who lauded the department’s proactive approach in enhancing facilities for its workforce.
