Power shutdown schedule announced for multiple areas

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) and Jammu & Kashmir Power Transmission Corporation Limited (JKPTCL) have announced scheduled power shutdowns in various areas to facilitate infrastructure upgrades and maintenance work.

As per the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, power supply will be affected in the following areas:

33KV Nagam-Hafroo Tap Line: Shutdown on March 26, 2025, from 09:30 AM to 05:30 PM, impacting Barwah, Hafroo, Lolipora, Watkul, Darwan, Shopora, Buzgoo, Brinjin, and adjoining areas due to the laying of a conductor on 11-meter-long poles.

33KV Halmulla-Khiram Line: Shutdown on March 26 and 29, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 02:30 PM, affecting Mehand, Sirhama, Khiram, Shalgul, Nowshera, and nearby areas for augmentation and stabilization of the conductor.

33KV Wanpoh SICOP Line: Shutdown on March 26 and 29, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 02:30 PM, impacting Veer, Srigufwara, Zirpara, Shamsipora, and Bijbehara SICOP due to conductor augmentation.

Additionally, as per the Chief Engineer, JKPTCL, a shutdown of the 132 KV Delina-Pattan Transmission Line Ckt-I will be observed on March 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM for 132 KV CT erection work at Grid Substation Delina. This will affect power supply to Kunzer, Kongamdar, Ahmadnagar, Dhobiwan, Lolpora, Khoore, Agar, Beerwah, Magam, and surrounding areas.
