KU’s NEP cell holds leadership workshop for college principals

Srinagar: To strengthen leadership skills and enhance institutional governance in line with NEP 2020, the NEP Cell, University of Kashmir (KU), organised a two-day capacity-building workshop on ‘Cultivating Visionary Leadership: Empowering College Principals as Catalysts of Institutional Transformation’ at the varsity.

Speaking at the inaugural session, Vice-Chancellor KU Prof. Nilofer Khan, emphasized the crucial role of college principals in shaping the higher education landscape.

“Leadership training is essential for driving meaningful change in our institutions. This program will equip principals with the necessary skills to effectively implement NEP 2020,” she said.

Dean Academic Affairs KU, Prof. Shariefuddin Pirzada and Registrar KU, Prof. Naseer Iqbal, in their remarks h,ighlighted the importance of empowering academic leaders with strategic competencies to optimize resources and enhance institutional efficiency.

The workshop brought together college principals across the valley. Over two days, participants engaged in five technical sessions led by expert resource persons focusing on leadership development, resource optimization, and policy execution.
