Under the Patronage of principal/Dean Prof Dr.Iffat Hassan and the leadership of Prof (Dr) Syed Sajjad Nazir, the department has successfully performed numerous laparoscopic surgeries for urological malignancies, including radical nephrectomies, cystectomies, and prostatectomies.

The department’s success is a testament to its patient-centred approach to care, the expertise of its surgeons, and the availability of advanced technology.

The department plans to introduce the latest technology-assisted laparoscopy, which offers even greater precision and control during complex procedures, and train young urologists in these advanced techniques.

The adoption of minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques by GMC Srinagar’s Department of Urology marks a new era in urological cancer care in Kashmir, offering patients a safer, faster, and more effective treatment option.
