Srinagar: Police in Srinagar have arrested a “notorious” drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Monday.
He said police during routine patrolling at Rawalpora-Peerbagh link road, intercepted and apprehended one Aqib Farooq Bhat (“notorious” drug peddler), son of Farooq Ahmad Bhat, resident of Nadirgund, Peerbagh Hyderpora.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.16/2025 under NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Sadder and investigation has been initiated.
