Cyber Police recovers Rs 45 lakh lost to online fraud

Srinagar: The Cyber Police Kashmir today said it has recovered and credited back Rs 45 lakh to victims of online cyber frauds.

In a post on X, Cyber Police Kashmir said that their swift action helped prevent further losses and ensured justice for the complainants.

“Cyber Police Kmr has successfully recovered and credited back ₹45 lakh to victims of online cyber frauds. Our swift action prevented further losses, ensuring justice for the complainants,” Cyber Police Kashmir said on its official X-handle.

“Cyber fraudsters are evolving—stay alert! No easy money! Avoid fraud apps/schemes. Never share OTPs, bank details, or click suspicious links. Report cyber fraud ASAP to Cyber Police Kashmir or call #1930,” it added on X.
