Srinagar: The Meteorological department today forecast intermittent rains and snow in parts of Jammu and Kashmir till March 16.

An official said there is a possibility of light rain and snow at scattered places of J&K from tonight. He said there is a possibility of light to moderate rains and snow over many higher reaches of J&K on March 10.

The official stated that from March 11 to 16, there is a possibility of intermittent light to moderate rains and snow at many places in Jammu and Kashmir.

He advised travelers, tourists and transporters to follow weather advisories being issued from administration and traffic departments, and avoid sloppy and avalanche prone areas.

He also advised farmers to suspend farm operation from March 10 to 16.
