Srinagar: Police in Kupwara have registered the first e-FIR in the district, a police spokesperson informed Saturday.

He said on March 5, a complaint was received via email from Ghulam Nabi Bhat, son of Haji Assadullah Bhat of Baghaat Colony, Bumhama, Kupwara, stating that while he was not at home, one person (name withheld] allegedly set fire to his wooden shed and cowshed. Even though the fire was extinguished before it could spread further, the complainant alleged that this was a deliberate attempt to cause damage to his property, the spokesperson informed.
