Uri: A young boy and a girl on Wednesday jumped into river Jhelum in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district following which a search operation was launched to trace and retrieve them.
Quoting officials, news agency KNO reported that a boy from Dhani Busgran and a girl from Kundi Barjala jumped into the rover in the afternoon.
Teams comprising SDRF, police and locals were searching for them till evening when the operation was called off due to darkness. Searches will resume in daylight tomorrow, officials added.
