Power shutdown alert in Srinagar on Feb 23-24

Srinagar: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Srinagar to facilitate ongoing electrical work.

According to the Chief Engineer, KPDCL, the power supply from the 33kV Rawalpora-Rangreth Line will be disrupted on February 23 from 11 AM to 1 PM to carry out the stringing of high-tension (HT) cables. The affected receiving stations include Rangreth, Wanbal, and Doodhganga, impacting areas such as Wanbal, Rangreth, Alamdar Colony Rawalpora, Gogo, and IE Rangreth, along with adjoining localities.

Additionally, in view of the shifting of electrical utilities along the road, the power supply from the 33kV Badampora-Wangipora Line will remain suspended on February 24 from 10 AM to 4 PM. This outage will affect receiving stations at Batwina, Wangipora, and Nowgam, covering areas including Batwina, Nowgam, Wangipora, Zazna, Ahan, Waskura, Kharbagh, Guzhama, Sumbal, and Nesbal.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to make necessary arrangements and plan accordingly.
