Srinagar: A female school teacher died after being hit by a dumper truck in Budgam Old Town on Thursday.

Quoting sources, the news agency JKNS reported that a government school teacher died after being hit by a dumper truck (HR55AR-5574) driven by an unidentified person. Though she was immediately rushed to District Hospital Budgam, doctors there declared her brought dead.

The victim was identified as Shaista, wife of Fayaz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Housing Colony Ompora, they added.

Police has taken cognizance of the incident and initiated investigations.
