Earlier these students were denied permission to appear in exams commencing from February 17. The move triggered sharp criticism from public quarters who sought strict action against individuals involved in playing with the future of students.

Minister of Education, Sakina Itoo on Saturday evening assured that the future of these students will be secured. She also said that strict action will be taken against those playing with their future.

Taking to micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter) she had said: “I am closely & seriously watching the issue for the last 3 days, the future of the 22 students of class 10th shall be secured.  Action against those who have played with the future of these students shall be taken. Will ensure that these students are allowed to appear in the exams”.
