Srinagar: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Kupwara and recovered contraband substance from his possession, an official handout informed Sunday.
It said during checking at Reddi Chowkibal, one Abdul Rasheed Mir, son of Sonaullah Mir of Zonareshi, was arrested and approximately 40 grams of cannabis-like substance was recovered from his possession.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kralpora for further investigation, police said.
