Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and ministers have extended greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Baraat.

In a message, the Lieutenant Governor said: “On this sacred occasion of Shab-e-Baraat, I convey my greetings and best wishes to all. The auspicious night provides opportunity to the devotees to seek forgiveness and blessings from the almighty. The holy night reminds us to follow the path of truth, humility, compassion and righteousness. It is also a sacred occasion to reaffirm our responsibility towards the underprivileged sections of the society. I pray for peace, happiness and joy for everyone”.

In his message, the Chief Minister highlighted the spiritual significance of Shab-e-Barat, emphasizing that it is a night of introspection and prayer when Muslims seek divine pardon and guidance.

He urged people to embrace the spiritual essence of the occasion and pray for the well-being of all humanity.

The Chief Minister also prayed for peace, prosperity and progress to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Various ministers also extended greetings to the people on the occasion.
