Sheeri, Baramulla: A nine-year-old girl, Hadiya Shafi, was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident near Sheeri’s main market on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway. The incident occurred late in the evening, and the driver fled the scene.

Hadiya, a Class 3 student at Government Middle School Sheeri Payeen and daughter of Mohammad Shafi Sheikh, was struck by an unidentified vehicle while near the market. Local residents immediately took her to Sheeri Hospital for initial treatment, after which she was referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla due to serious head and mouth injuries. She was later shifted to SKIMS Soura, where she remains in critical condition.
