Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra on Saturday reviewed the organizational affairs and activities in all the districts of North & South Kashmir districts at Srinagar Party headquarters with senior party leaders and functionaries.
The review meeting of districts falling in South Kashmir shall be conducted on Sunday.
The first phase of the review meeting covered Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora, Srinagar, Ganderbal and Budgam districts falling in North and South Kashmir, subsequently, the JKPCC President will review party activities in Anantnag, Kulgam, and Shopian and Pulwama Districts on Sunday.
Apart from organizational activities, District Congress Committee (DCC) Presidents and Senior leaders gave feedback to the JKPCC President with regard to the socio-political scenario obtaining in their respective districts and also briefed him (Karra) about the issue confronting the public. The meetings also held threadbare discussions over the upcoming challenges and resolved to further strengthen Congress Party for the benefit and betterment of the people.
On this occasion, Tariq Hameed Karra urged the cadres to take the programmes and policies of the party door to door vigorously and remain connected with people & make all efforts to resolve the issues they are confronted with. He said the Congress Party shall continue to fight for the rights of the people and full statehood with constitutional guarantees to restore the dignity of J&K. We will not rest till the Centre Govt fulfils its promise of restoring Statehood to J&K, Karra added and reiterated Party’s commitment to continue working for inclusive development of J&K, which has suffered serious setbacks on every count due to the policies of BJP Govt at Centre.
Karra further suggested to Govt to make the Administration address public grievances on priority including electricity tariffs, smart meters, unemployment menace and various other developmental issues concerning them (the public). People have facing hardships for a long, they have high expectations, so there is a need to come upto their expectations, the JKPCC President told the JK Govt.
Among others who spoke in the meetings included Senior Leader Haji Abdul Gani Khan, Nissar Ahmad Mundoo, Abid Imityaz Bhat (I/C Party Hq) MLA Irfan Hafeez Lone, DCC Presidents Irfan Naqib, Mushtaq Ahmad Tantray, Javed Ahmad Mir, Er. Muzaffar Dar, Dr. Audil Farooq Mir (Media Coordinator) Dr. Waleed Karra, Yasir Nisar and various other senior leaders from North and South Kashmir.
