MLA Sonawari visits Hajin; directs restoration of road cracks near Bangar Mohalla

BANDIPORA: Member Legislative Assembly, (MLA) Sonawari, Hilal Akbar Lone, on Monday visited the Hajin area to assess the critical situation of road cracks along the Jhelum River,  near Bangar Mohalla. 

During the visit, he observed the significant damage caused to the road, which poses a risk to the safety and daily commute of residents.

MLA Lone directed for immediate action to restore and repair the damaged stretches, ensuring that the road is safe for public use.

Speaking during the visit, Lone stated, “The safety and well-being of the people are my top priority. We cannot delay any further action in repairing these critical road cracks. I have instructed the concerned authorities to start the restoration work at the earliest to prevent any further damage and provide relief to the residents.”

The MLA also emphasized the need for long-term measures to prevent further road deterioration, especially in areas prone to such challenges due to proximity to the Jhelum River.

 While Interacting with the public, he assured the public that restoration works will begin immediately, with a focus on quality and durability.

Later, MLA  Hilal Akbar Lone, also visited the site of a devastating fire that recently gutted a joinery mill in Nowgam. The fire destroyed the mill, causing significant loss to the owner.

MLA Lone spoke with the affected person and conveyed  that he has raised the issue with the district administration for possible relief.
