JAMMU: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Chowdhary, today released a Compendium on laws related to Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB) besides a poster highlighting various incentives being offered to the workers.

Chief Executive Officer, JKBOCWWB, Muneer ul Islam, was also present.

The compendium, replete with the information about the relevant laws, would serve as a referral to the concerned.

Later, the Deputy Chief Minister also met several deputations and took stock of their issues and concerns.

A deputation of ASHA workers demanded revision of monthly incentives, regularisation of Asha workers as Health workers and other related issues.

The Kashmir Labour Unions’ Federation demanded settlement of issues related to death cases, matrimonial cases and other related issues.

Similarly, deputations form Verinag, Katra, Anantnag, Rajouri, Poonch and Doda also met the Deputy Chief Minister and highlighted several developmental issues of their respective areas and sought immediate redressal.

While interacting with the deputations, the Deputy Chief Minister assured them of early redressal of the issues projected by them.
