Srinagar: Under the influence of fresh Western Disturbances, parts of Jammu and Kashmir are expected to experience fresh snowfall on Tuesday with southern parts of Kashmir likely to receive moderate to heavy snowfall till February 5.
As per the forecast, the Director Meteorological (MeT) Centre, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad said that generally cloudy weather is expected tomorrow with possibility of light to moderate rain and snow at many places till February 5th forenoon.
He said during this time the higher reaches of Chenab Valley and Pirpanjal Range in south Kashmir may receive around 8-10 inches of snow.
Ahmad also said that the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy with generally dry from February 6 to 8 while fresh spells of light rain and snow at isolated to scattered places on February 9.
From February 10-11, the weather would remain generally cloudy with possibility of light rain and snow at scattered to fairly widespread places.
Pertinently, the MeT had predicted back-to-back WDs in Jammu and Kashmir till February 5. (With inputs from KNO)
