Srinagar: Police in Srinagar have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession, an official handout informed Wednesday.
It said one Owais Mushtaq Dar, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Dar of Sheikh Mohalla, SR Gunj, was arrested at Maharaj Gunj, Srinagar and a “substantial quantity” of contraband substance was recovered from his possession.
Subsequently another drug peddler Momin Bilal Kanu, son of Bilal Ahmad Kanu resident of Banday Kocha, Maharaj Gunj, was also arrested and “substantial quantity” of contraband substance was recovered from his possession as well.
Further investigation into the case is going on, police said.
