JAMMU: Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman, Save Youth Save Future Foundation, today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

He was accompanied by Anika Nazir, Women’s Wing President, and Mudasir Ahmed Dar, South Kashmir Zonal President of the foundation.

Bhat apprised the Lieutenant Governor on various important issues pertaining to skill development of youth, empowering the women through specialized training and sustainable opportunities to uplift and empower communities across Jammu Kashmir.

The Lieutenant Governor congratulated the members of Save Youth Save Future Foundation for the prestigious J&K Government Award for social reforms and empowerment, and appreciated everyone associated with the foundation for their selfless service to the society.

Meanwhile, Rajinder Premi, social activist and son of freedom-fighter, social reformer and litterateur, Sarwanand Kaul Premi called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

Rajinder Premi requested for commemoration of literary and cultural activities on the works of his father martyr Sarwanand Kaul Premi, and naming of PHC Soafshali and Degree college after his late brother Verinder Kaul.

Subsequently, Rtn. Adeep Singh Mehta, Chief Coordinator, Mega Medical Mission J&K, Rotary Club of Jammu Baahu called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

He briefed the Lieutenant Governor on the future endeavour of the Rotary Club to organize a mega surgery camp in district Doda.

A delegation led by Ram Dass Dubey, President, Confederation of Physically-Challenged Organizations also called on the Lieutenant Governor and apprised him of various welfare issues of persons with disabilities.

MeanRepresentatives of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PHDCCI), Jammu Region Chapter called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

The delegation comprised of Rakesh Wazir, Chair, PHDCCI Jammu; Sanjay Gupta, Co-Chair; executive members including Sh Shyam Lal Kesar, Vinod Sachdeva, Virender Kesar, Convenor – Head Katra, and Kartik Partap Singh, Deputy Resident Director, submitted a representation to the Lieutenant Governor highlighting comprehensive set of recommendations focusing on the economic, industrial, and tourism development of the Union Territory.

They also discussed important matters pertaining to extension of the New Central Sector Scheme; incentives for renovating hotels in the service sector, upgradation of existing industrial units, promotion of spiritual, health, education and adventure tourism, etc.

The delegation also requested for incorporating PHDCCI suggestions to promote balanced urban development in the Jammu Master Plan.

The Lieutenant Governor assured the members of the delegation that appropriate action will be taken on the issues projected by them during the interaction.

Meanwhile, a public delegation led by Jasvir Singh, Member, District Development Council Panchari Udhampur called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and apprised him of various development issues of their area.
