Srinagar: The 26th of January is a special day for every citizen of the country. It marks the day that the Constitution of India – the guiding force for Justice, Equality, Liberty and Fraternity – came into effect.

The Republic Day celebrations of 2025 are going to be special for quite a few reasons, one among them being that this year marks 75 years of the Constitution being in force.

Another reason that makes the 2025 celebrations unique is the fact that this year, around 10,000 Special Guests from different walks of life have been invited to witness the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. These guests are achievers and best performers in their respective areas and are the architects of Swarnim Bharat.

As from other parts of India, around 120 achievers from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and around 70 from the Union Territory of Ladakh will also be a part of the historic Republic Day celebrations this year.

These achievers have been drawn from various fields of life and include students, artisans, best-performing PM-Vishwakarma Yojana beneficiaries, beneficiaries of PM Surya Ghar Yojana, construction workers, residents of Vibrant Villages and best-performing Water Warriors among others.

Each of these invitees represents a story of courage and determination and serves as an embodiment of the spirit of contributing towards the cause of nation-building.

The people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have time and again demonstrated that if one is committed and dedicated towards their cause, no obstacles can stop them from achieving what they want to.

The Union Government has made special arrangements for accommodation and other logistical support and no stone is being left unturned to ensure a memorable and comfortable experience for the invitees.

The Government of India is committed to recognizing the achievements and contributions of citizens who are an integral part of the country’s journey towards being a prosperous nation.
