Power shutdown scheduled in Awantipora, Khrew, and adjoining areas

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas to facilitate augmentation and stabilization work on key power lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to carry out Augmentation/ stabilization of 33 KV Awantipora Line, the shutdown of 33KV Awantipora-Awantipora Line shall be observed due to which Receiving Stations at Awantipora-1st, Awantipora-II, IUST, AIIMS, Rice Mills, LIS shall remain off while power supply to the Malangpora, Padgampora, Beighpora, Barsoo, Awantipora and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 23, 28 & 30 January, 2025.

Similarly, to carry out the balance work for IE Wuyan Tap Line, the shutdown of 33KV Pampore-SIDCO Line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at the cement plants of Khrew & IE Khrew shall remain off while the power supply to IE Khrew and IE Wuyan will be affected from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM on 23 January, 2025.
