Srinagar: Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Pulwama and recovered contraband substances from their possession, an official handout informed Monday.
It said acting on specific information, police raided residential houses of two drug peddlers at Kisrigam Kakapora, and recovered 10.7 Kgs of grinded cannabis powder from the house of Bilal Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Nabi Dar, and another 7.8 Kgs from the house of Irshad Ahmad Mantoo, son of Ghulam Nabi Mantoo. Both persons were subsequently arrested, police said.
At Litter, 200 grams of cannabis-like substance was recovered from one Mehraj-u-din Shah, son of Gulam Hassan Shah of Chari Sharief Budgam. Shah was also arrested.
Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations for further investigation, police said.
