Srinagar: An Army soldier was killed in an accidental discharge of fire in the Hyderbeigh Palhallan area of Baramulla district.
Quoting official sources, news agency JKNS reported that an army personnel was grievously wounded after his service rifle went off accidentally. He was immediately evacuated to a hospital for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Kumar.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and investigation has been taken up.
