JAMMU: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today released the Coffee Table Book on Assembly Election Coverage by Doordarshan News Jammu.

The Lieutenant Governor extended his felicitations to the Regional News Unit (RNU) of Doordarshan and the editorial team on the occasion. He commended the RNU team members for their dedication and commitment to inform and educate the people of the region on the electoral process.

The publication highlights the endeavours of Regional News Unit of Doordarshan during the Assembly elections, including awareness campaigns through social media posts, signature campaigns under SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation), and special programs focused on electoral awareness.

Vivek Pathak, Regional Head, Doordarshan News Jammu, also briefed the Lieutenant Governor about the operational achievements and initiatives of the Regional News Unit (RNU) Jammu and shared the efforts made by RNU in reaching remote, hard-to-access areas of J&K to raise awareness about the importance of voting.
