Srinagar: The J&K government has appointed nodal officers to oversee the construction of ‘Unity Malls’ in Kashmir and Jammu divisions under the Government of India initiative.
According to news agency JKNS, order issued by the Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Industries & Commerce Department, reads: “Sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Mr. Masrat-ul-Islam, Director Handicrafts & Handloom, Kashmir, and Mr. Arun Manhas, Director Industries & Commerce, Jammu, as Nodal Officers for construction of Unity Mall in Kashmir and Jammu Divisions respectively.”
The appointed nodal officers will coordinate the construction process and liaise with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Ministry of DPIIT to ensure smooth implementation of the project, the order reads.
