PDP trying to sabotage statehood restoration: NC

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar Tuesday vehemently condemned PDP President Mehbooba Mufti for her public outburst against Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s dedicated efforts to restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir saying we are in this situation because of the ill-conceived moves of PDP.

He made these remarks while engaging with the press at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha in Srinagar. “PDP is clearly rattled by CM Omar Sbs relentless efforts to restore statehood.”

“Omar Sahib’s call for the restoration of Statehood has caused quite a stir, especially among the PDP. It is his rightful duty to advocate for this cause, and his approach was both dignified and official. It’s a stark contrast to the obsequious language used by Mehbooba Ji when she was CM, which often bordered on cringe-worthy when addressing the Government of India. It seems like Omar Sahib is taking a more direct and assertive approach, and it’s definitely making waves in the political arena,” he said.

Imran pointed out that PDP and its leadership have been consistently rejected by the people in election after election, from DDC to parliament to legislative assembly elections. “It’s like the pot calling the kettle black. No amount of whataboutery will change the fact that the people have clearly said ‘thanks, but no thanks’ to PDP and its policies time and time again. It’s high time for PDP to gracefully take a back seat, which the people have kindly relocated her to, and let Omar Sahib’s government work on restoring what was snatched from us due to the deceptions of PDP. This whole theatrical performance won’t make a lick of difference in the end. People see through her charades and won’t be fooled,” he said.
