Srinagar: A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was injured when his service rifle went off accidentally during a routine patrol in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, officials reported.
The incident occurred at Old Town Baramulla, where Constable Manish Meghwal was struck by a bullet from his own weapon, according to the officials.
The injured jawan was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where medical staff confirmed that his condition is stable.
