Srinagar: Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession, an official handout informed Wednesday.
It said at Khawajabagh Baramulla, 60 tablets of Alprazolam and 29 tablets of Pacitane (psychotropic substances) were recovered from the possession of Sarfaraz Ahmad Dar, son of Sonaullah Dar of Kralhar, who was subsequently arrested.
At Banali Boniyar, one Mehraj-ud-Din Sheikh, son of Ghulam Hassan of Dudran, was arrested and 54 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession.
At Takiya Wagoora, one Jahangir Ahmad Shah, son of Mehraj ud Din of Takiya Wagoora, was arrested after 30 grams of cannabis-like substance was recovered from his possession.
Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations for further investigation, police said.
