Srinagar: Police in Srinagar have attached the property of a “notorious” drug peddler in Noorbagh area under the provisions of NDPS Act, police said in an official handout.
It said the attached property belongs to Mohammad Irfan Sheikh, son of Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh of Pamposh Colony Palpora.
It said the accused had acquired substantial property including a house and land through the proceeds of illegal drug trade. Adhering to relevant legal procedures, the property valued in lakhs (house and land) has been attached under the NDPS Act, police said.
