While rat infestation at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) within the Government Medical College Anantnag, besides being a grave health hazard, is giving sleepless nights to patients and their attendants, the concerned (read unconcerned) authorities are busy manufacturing excuses. While some officials are contesting the authenticity of the photographs and videos highlighting the problem, others are blaming a private company hired for delivering the rodent control services.
