New Delhi: Omar Hafiz has been honoured with the prestigious WISCOMP SAAHAS CHETNA AWARD 2024.

The award ceremony took place at the India International Centre in New Delhi, celebrating his remarkable contributions to fostering dialogue and empowering youth in one of South Asia’s most conflict-affected regions.

As the founder of The STEARS, an organization dedicated to grassroots peacebuilding, Hafiz has been instrumental in bridging decades-old divides by initiating innovative programs that promote reconciliation and youth leadership. His tireless efforts have been focused on healing communities and building a more inclusive and harmonious society.

The Saahas Awards, organized by Women in Security, Conflict Management, and Peace (WISCOMP), recognize individuals and organizations across South Asia who work relentlessly to promote peace, justice, and community empowerment in conflict zones.
