 Surinder Chowdhary reviews Kashmir road projects; asks for expeditious completion

SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Chowdhary, today held a meeting to review various road projects of the Kashmir division with a special focus on Ganderbal, Kulgam and Srinagar districts.

The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer Central Kashmir, Executive Engineer R&B Division Ganderbal and Executive Engineer MORTH works, besides others.

The meeting focused on ongoing and upcoming development projects in Ganderbal district.

The Deputy CM emphasised the need for a holistic approach towards the district’s development, with a particular focus on resolving bottlenecks in road infrastructure.

During the meeting, the Chief Engineer also provided updates on several significant projects, including the Noor Bagh Bridge, Kulgam Bypass, Sanat Nagar Flyover and other key initiatives.

The Deputy CM issued directives for strict compliance with office attendance and the efficient redressal of public grievances.

Later, several deputations also met the Deputy Chief Minister.

A deputation of the Jammu and Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association projected several issues like assured career progression, filling up of vacancies, pending regularisation and other service-related issues.

Meanwhile, deputations of JKPCC employees and contractors, Jammu and Kashmir Fire and Emergency Aspirants Association also called on the Deputy Chief Minister and highlighted their issues seeking redressal of the same.

While interacting with the deputations, the Deputy Chief Minister assured them that all their issues would be looked into for early redressal.
