Power shutdown scheduled for maintenance and augmentation in various areas of Kashmir

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across several areas to facilitate maintenance and augmentation work.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, to carry out works related to the erection of poles of 33 KV Shariefabad Wadwan line, the shutdown of 33KV Shariefabad Wadwan line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Station at Shariefabad, Soibugh and Wadwan shall remain off while the power supply to the Soibugh, Dahamuna, Wadwan, Russu, Pimus, Shariefabad, Durbal, Defence and Shariefabad areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 15 December, 2024.

Similarly, in order to carry out stabilization of 33 KV Pampore BK Pora line, the shutdown of 33KV Pampore BK Pora line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at BK Pora, Khanda and Summerbugh shall remain off while the power supply to the BK Pora, Khanda, Chatergam, Kenihama, Summerbugh, Wagoona, Wadipora, Aribagh and Checkpora areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 16 December, 2024.

Also, in order to facilitate works related to the augmentation of Receiving Station Budgam, the shutdown of the 33KV Budgam SIDCO line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Budgam and SIDCO shall remain off while the power supply to the Budgam, OmPora, Housing Colony Bemina, JawalPora, Budgam Town and JNV areas will be affected from 09:30 AM to 04:00 PM on 15 December, 2024.

Further, in order to carry out augmentation of old O.1 ACSR by O.2, the shutdown of 33KV Nehalpora Patan Markundal line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Markundal, Naidkhai, Shahgund and Aglar shall remain off while the power supply to the Naidkhai, Markundal, Shahgund, Khamina, Zaipora, lrrigation Colony and Sumbal areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 14 and 17 December, 2024.
