Representatives of SAI, Chairman DDC Jammu, others call on LG

Jammu: Representatives of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, today.

The delegation comprising Manjushree Dayanand, Executive Director and Dr Sangeeta Sheoran, Deputy Director, SAI discussed with the Lieutenant Governor important matters related to the implementation of the Central Government Sports Schemes, especially those pertaining to Khelo India including KISCE Centres and academies.

The Central Government is making tremendous efforts in implementing the schemes which include Khelo India State Centre of Excellence (KISCE) for rowing, kayaking and canoeing at Dal Lake, Srinagar and fencing at Jammu.

The Lieutenant Governor assured every support and assistance to the Sports Authority of India in the promotion of sports in the UT of Jammu Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Bharat Bhushan, Chairman District Development Council Jammu called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today.

He was accompanied by Suraj Singh, Vice Chairman, DDC Jammu.

Subsequently, Er. Gulam Ali Khatana, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and discussed various issues of public importance.

In a separate meeting, the Representatives of Lalitaditya Sports Education and Health Organization called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
