MLA Gulmarg participates in “100 Days Intensified Campaign on TB Elimination”

Gulmarg: MLA Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah, actively participated in the “100 Days Intensified Campaign on TB Elimination” program launched by the Union Ministry for Health & Family Welfare along with Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health, GoI.

Minister for Health J&K, Sakina Yatoo, participated virtually. The campaign underscores the Government of India’s commitment to eradicating tuberculosis under its National Health Mission.

The event saw the presence of prominent dignitaries, including MLA Beerwah Dr. M Shafi Wani, MLA Uri Dr. Sajad Shafi, Director of Health Services Jehangir Bakshi, CMO Srinagar, CMO Baramulla, and other senior health officials, along with all concerned Block Medical Officers (BMOs).

MLA Gulmarg, Shah, also inaugurated a Synthetic Volleyball Court at the Government Girls High School, Kralweth, developed at a cost of ₹12.00 lakhs. Speaking on the occasion, Shah emphasized the importance of sports infrastructure in empowering youth and promoting a healthy lifestyle. He reiterated his commitment to enhancing educational and recreational facilities across Gulmarg constituency. A Kinder Garten was also thrown open on the occasion.

Farooq Ahmad Shah held a public darbar in Tangmarg, where he met with locals to address their grievances and discuss developmental issues. The darbar witnessed active participation from residents, who raised various concerns related to infrastructure, healthcare, and education. Mr. Shah assured the public of prompt action and reaffirmed his dedication to the holistic development of the region.

Later, Shah visited Shrai to offer his condolences to Manzoor Ahmad Khan on the passing of his beloved father. He also visited Gutlipora Sawan to express solidarity with the victims of a recent fire incident, assuring them of all possible support during this challenging time.
