Srinagar: Police in Kupwara have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance and cash from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Friday.
He said two drug peddlers were arrested by police during patrolling at Regipora Sumo Stand. They have been identified as Faizan Ahmad Zarger, son of Reyaz Ahmad Zarger, and Tulha Zarger, son of Late Ghulam Hassan Zarger, both residents of Tikker, Kupwara. During their search, four grams of brown sugar and cash amounting to ₹35,000 was recovered from them.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kupwara for investigation.
