Scheduled power shutdowns announced by KPDCL

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in various areas of Srinagar and Pattan to facilitate critical infrastructure upgrades and maintenance works, including RMU installations and line augmentations.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to carry out the works related with RMU for Bone and Joint Receiving Station, the shutdown of below-mentioned 33KV lines shall be observed which will subsequently affect electricity to given areas.

The shutdown of 33KV Rawalpora-Chanapora Tap line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Station at Bone and Joint shall remain off while the power supply to the Baghat, Rawalpora, Chanapora, Pamposh Colony, Azad Basti and Natipora areas will be affected from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 09 December, 2024.

The shutdown of 33KV Rawalpora-Silk Factory line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Station at Silk Factory shall remain off while the power supply to the Alchibagh, Rambagh, Solina, Old Barzulla and LD Hospital areas will be affected from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 11 December, 2024.

The shutdown of 33KV GIS Tengpora line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at KP Bagh, Jawahar Nagar and Rajbagh shall remain off while the power supply to the Alchibagh, Soiteng, KP Bagh, Mehjoor Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Dewatering Station, Gogji Bagh and Kursu Rajbagh areas will be affected from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 11 December, 2024.

Similarly, in order to carry out augmentation of 0.1 ACSR with 0.2 ACSR, the shutdown of 33 KV Nehalpora (Pattan) – Markundal line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Markundal, Naidkhai, Shahgund and Aglar shall remain off while power supply to the Naidkhai, Markundal, Shahgund, Khamina, Zalpora and Irrigation Col Sumbal areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 07 & 10 December, 2024.
