Govt committed to transforming colleges into centres of excellence: Sakeena Masood

KULGAM: Marking a significant step towards enhancing higher education infrastructure in the district, Minister for Health & Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Masood along with MLA Kulgam, M. Y Tarigami today laid the foundation Stone for Academic Block at GDC Kulgam which will come up at an allotted cost 3.64 crores.

In her address on the occasion, the Minister highlighted the commitment of the government to provide quality education and modern facilities for students to thrive academically.

She underlined the importance of state-of-the-art infrastructure in empowering the youth and preparing them for future challenges.

The Minister added that the focus of the present government is advancing the educational landscape and creating opportunities for the youth of the region. “Our government is committed to transforming colleges into centres of excellence,” Sakeena Masood said.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, MLA Kulgam M.Y Tarigami said that the young generation is the future of the nation and they will definitely contribute to making a prosperous and developed society.

Later, the Minister also laid the foundation stone of the Multipurpose Sports hall at GDC D.H.Pora which will come up an Allotted cost of 1.70 crores.

DC Kulgam, Director Colleges, SDM D.H.Pora and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
