DC Sgr chairs DLTFC Meeting of J&K KVIB under JKREGP scheme

SRINAGAR: A meeting of the District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) under the J&K Rural Employment Generation Program (JKREGP) of J&K KVIB was held under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat here at Meeting Hall DC Office Complex.

At the outset, the Committee screened/scrutinized all the applicants received under the scheme.

The DC/Chairman interacted with the beneficiaries and approved all the eligible applicants for sponsorship of the JKREGP scheme under different activities like Sheep Farms, Dairy Farms, Wooden Joinery, Shuttering, General Store, etc.

The units are expected to generate income as well as employment in their respective rural areas of the District.

On the occasion, the DC stressed on bringing more and more unemployed educated youth & aspiring artisans of the District under the ambit of the government-sponsored schemes to generate maximum employment in the District.

The DC further stressed on the Bankers to ensure the speedy disposal & disbursement of the government-sponsored cases so that the aspiring entrepreneurs shall be in a position to establish their units and generate employment without any difficulty.

The DC hoped that establishing these income-generating units would go a long way in enhancing the socio-economic upliftment of the unemployed youth in rural areas of the District. He further urged the unemployed educated youth to come forward and avail the benefits of the flagship schemes to earn their livelihood with dignity & honour and also generate employment.

Moreover, he strictly directed the Departments to sensitize the general masses about the schemes of the Government and directed KVIB Srinagar to organize Awareness Camps in the Rural as well as Urban areas of the District so that the aspiring entrepreneurs & unemployed youth shall be sensitized about the schemes and their benefits.

Besides Chief Planning Officer Fayaz Ahmad, the meeting was attended by the Lead District Manager, General Manager DIC, Director RSETI, and Representatives from the Government ITI and Government Polytechnic College Srinagar.
